I probably was asking to much of this tool and bent the mandrel after destroying the first cut off wheel.Light duty cutting may be just fine.
Good product; good price; fast delivery. I can't tell the difference. I was able to easily cut through a metal bolt easily with this "plastic" cutting wheel. It looks identical to the metal cutting wheel.
I used several wheels to cut out a 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" square hole in a 3/16" tempered glass but they worked. I even used these wheels to cut some tempered glass, a job they were never designed to do I am sure. As with most Dremel tools these cut off disc work well. They are not super heavy duty tools by any means but for simple jobs at home like cutting plexiglass or cutting wire they are perfect.
It is a little difficult to change and you are not 100% that they will stay put without flying around and creating havoc in your hand or face (ware protection) maybe a safer interlock system. Why not a 10. A tool for all jobs where a full-sized tool will simply not do the job. For those small pieces or those hard to reach corners and with the advantage of having interchangeable wheels for all sort of jobs from cutting to finishing I'll give an 8 to this tool.
Dremel is certainly right, that EZ lock makes changing the wheel much easier and you do not risk to loose those tiny screws, but plastic and wood should be distinguisher clearer, since during use the words come off and on very hard use the arbor breaks out or off.
